it all happened a little too late
cuz i waited a little too long
got caught up in the moment
of bein young n dumb
let myself settle for somethin easy
that turned out to be way too hard
a long distance love
turned into a dark cloud
raining constantly on my parade
taking every ounce of my time
gave him my heart n my soul
only to find he betrayed me over time
coulda had a real love
if i woulda been more patient
saw u before life made ur heart cold
n now u wont let me save it
cant believe i had u within my grasp
so close i can still see u sittin there
but i was too shy n had my eyes fixed
on someone who had my vision impaired

borrowed happiness

it's crazy how they never really see u til ur gone
n even then they dont realize
how much they did u wrong
n u tried to stick it out n be strong
hoping eventually they'd quit leading u on
but they stay focused on the fast chicks
the ones they can say hi n bye to
cuz they dont really mean shit
n u just watch n wonder
who is this bitch?
she cant even compare to me
yet she's the one he wanna be with
even if it's just one night
they get loose off the Henny
n they ready to let it all out
tell u things they wouldnt dare say
if u were to call em out
but it's those late night conversations
the things he whispers in my ear
that put this stupid smile on my face
cuz it's wut i wanna hear
n i kno that half the things he's tellin me
he wont let me hold him to tomorrow
but ill take a little slice of those high hopes
cuz happiness can only be borrowed

Summertime Seduction

i can feel the bass of the slow grooves
vibrate from my feet to my hips
making me sway left to right
as sweat beads flow down to my lips
feeling the excitement in the air
as he pulls me closer to his chest
while i poke it out and put it on him
never letting him catch his breath
slowly he glides his hands down my waist
his lips barely on my neck
creating an electric current
making me forget about holding back
it's that summertime seduction....♥

Will You Miss Me When I'm Gone?

It seems like I go through this every year. There's always a friend who, once they are in a relationship, can't seem to find time for anyone except their significant other. I've never understood this. I personally find time for everyone in my life whether I'm in a relationship or not.

I see nothing wrong with wanting to spend as much time as possible with your boyfriend/girlfriend. It just seems like you would also want to make time to spend with your friends. The people that are there for you when you're at your lowest low.

I can't stand people that get a bf/gf, and they never seem to make time for you. It's like you drop off the face of the earth, and they only call you when they need you...or when their bf/gf does something wrong. Where they do that at? Haha

I cannot imagine treating my real friends the way some of my "friends" in the past have treated me. I've never put one person in my life over another. Yes, there are times when you can't spread yourself too thin. You have to choose who you want to spend your time on. However, you shouldn't lose touch with someone you consider a real friend. You risk losing that person forever.

I lost one of the best friends I ever had 2 years ago. I hadn't spoken to him in a year, and I found out through the grapevine that he had passed away. After that, I've done everything I can to keep in touch with all of my friends. Some haven't reciprocated, but there's nothing I can do about those people. I just have to keep moving forward. There have been a lot of "friends" I've had to forget about, because they weren't true friends in the end.

All I know is you don't know what you've got til it's gone. You better cherish the people that come into your life and are there for you no matter what. The friends that let you be yourself and don't judge you. They just listen and give advice when you ask.

They love you for who you really are.

I'm just sayin! :)

R.I.P. Christopher George Latore Wallace
(May 21, 1972 – March 9, 1997)

In honor of the late Notorious B.I.G., who to me will forever be one of the greatest hip-hop artists of our time, I'm sharing the lyrics to a few of my fave Biggie songs.

REST IN PEACE!

"They heard about the Rolex's and the Lexus
With the Texas license plate outta state
They heard about the pounds
You got down in Georgetown
Now they heard you got half of Virginia locked down
They even heard about the crib
You bought your moms out in Florida
The fifth corridor...
Call the coroner
There's gonna be alot of slow singin
And flower bringin
If my burgular alarm starts ringin"

-Warning-

"It was all a dream
I used to read Word Up magazine
Salt'n'Pepa and Heavy D up in the limousine
Hangin' pictures on my wall
Every Saturday Rap Attack, Mr. Magic, Marley Marl
I let my tape rock 'til my tape popped
Smokin' weed and bamboo, sippin' on private stock
Way back, when I had the red and black lumberjack
With the hat to match
Remember Rappin' Duke, duh-ha, duh-ha
You never thought that hip hop would take it this far
Now I'm in the limelight 'cause I rhyme tight
Time to get paid, blow up like the World Trade
Born sinner, the opposite of a winner
Remember when I used to eat sardines for dinner
Peace to Ron G, Brucey B, Kid Capri
Funkmaster Flex, Lovebug Starsky
I'm blowin' up like you thought I would
Call the crib, same number same hood
It's all good"

-Juicy-

"Throwin my clothes out the windows, so when the wind blows
I see my Polos and Timbos
Hide my car keys so I can't leave
A real slick bitch, keep a trick up her sleeve
And if I deceive, she won't take it lightly
She'll invite me, politely, to fight G
And then we lie together, cry together
I swear to God I hope we fuckin die together"

 -Me & My Bitch-

"Straight up honey really I'm askin
Most of these niggaz think they be mackin but they be actin
Who they attractin with that line, "What's your name, what's your sign"?
Soon as he buy that wine I just creep up from behind
And ask what your interests are, "who you be with"?
Things to make you smile, what numbers to dial
You gon' be here for a while, I'm gon' go call my crew
You go call your crew
We can rendezvou at the bar around two"

-Big Poppa-

"Hah, sicka than your average Poppa
Twist cabbage off instinct niggaz don't think shit stink
Pink gators, my Detroit players
Timbs for my hooligans in Brooklyn
Dead right, if they head right, Biggie there Air Nike
Poppa been smooth since days of Underroos
Never lose, never choose to, bruise crews who
Do something to us, talk go through us
Girls walk to us, wanna do us, screw us
Who us? Yeah, Poppa and Puff (ehehehe)
Close like Starsky and Hutch, stick the clutch
Dare I squeeze three at your cherry M-3
(Take that, take that, take that, haha!)
Bang every MC easily, busily
Recently niggaz frontin ain't sayin nuttin (nope)
So I just speak my piece, (c'mon) keep my piece
Cubans with the Jesus piece (thank you God), with my peeps
Packin, askin who want it, you got it nigga flaunt it
That Brooklyn bullshit, we on it"

-Hypnotize-

"Me lose my touch, never that
If I did, ain't no problem to get the gat
Where the true players at?
Throw your roadies in the sky
Wave em side to side and keep their hands high
While I give your girl the eye, player please
Lyrically, niggaz see, B.I.G.
Be flossin jig on the cover of Fortune
Five double oh, get the phone number
Your name, I got to know, I got to go
Got the flow down phizat, platinum plus
Like thizat, dangerous
On trizack, leave your ass kizzack"

-Mo Money Mo Problems-

"Armed and dangerous
Ain't too many can bang with us
Straight up weed no angel dust, label us notorious
Thug ass niggas dat love to bust, it's strange to us
Ya'll niggas be scramblin, gamblin
Up in restaurants with mandolins and violins
We just sittin' here tryin to win, try not to sin
High off weed and lots of gin
So much smoke need oxygen
Steadily countin' them Benjamins
Nigga you should too, if you knew, what this game'll do to u"

Gotta Have It

A dear friend introduced me to Sade on the same night I got drunk for the first time off Goose & orange juice. So her music always makes me feel a certain kind of way...if you know what I mean. And I think you do :)

But I gotta have her new album.♥

I'm just sayin!
